DANIEL ULLMAN, LMT
Massage Therapist and Rehab Specialist
Daniel graduated The University of Northern Colorado in 2016, majoring in Sport and Exercise Science, and Nutrition. This rigorous study included courses in Anatomy, Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, and Cardiac Rehabilitation. He gained a profound understanding about how the body works, and how to exercise safely. Especially valuable was an internship at the Rocky Mountain Cancer Rehabilitation Institute, where he provided personal training, fitness assessments, and exercise programming to cancer survivors.
Daniel's first professional experience was at the YMCA in Littleton. He was asked to lead the "Stations of Balance" class and it soon doubled in size. Additionally, he led a "Women on Weights" class, and started a "Speed and Agility" camp for kids. Later he was trained and led the "LiveSTRONG at the Y" cancer exercise program. Members involved said he is very compassionate and a great listener. Besides leading classes, Daniel trained clients on an individual basis. In 2017, he was awarded the "Rookie of the Year" award for his outstanding accomplishments during his first 2 years of YMCA service.
During his time at the YMCA, people came to him with various chronic injuries, movement dysfunctions, and postural deviations that he was not equipped to manage. Wanting to help them, he began researching other modalities and discovered the many healing benefits of massage therapy. Daniel attended The Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado in 2018. His 15-month long training included a vast array of massage styles including: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Hot Stone, CranioSacral, Reflexology, Sports Massage, and numerous other therapeutic methods. He received his license and continues to enhance his knowledge through workshops and classes on healing, bodywork, and exercise.
Since graduating, he has started integrating exercise and massage therapy with his clients and is continuing to further his education of the body. He is certified in Massage Therapy, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation (IASTM), Strength and Conditioning, Corrective Exercise, and Performance Enhancement. He is well equipped to help people at various fitness levels and is always looking to help clients improve their quality of life through exercise and massage.
