About our Massage Therapist/ Exercise Rehab Specialist

Hello everyone! My name is Daniel Ullman and I am a Massage Therapist and Exercise Rehab Specialist at Evergreen Spine & Sports Medicine. I have been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist for about 4 years and a Licensed Massage Therapist for about 2 years now. I graduated college from The University of Northern Colorado in 2016, majoring in Sport and Exercise Science, and Nutrition. My course work included Anatomy, Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, and Cardiac Rehabilitation. Before graduating I accepted an internship at the Rocky Mountain Cancer Rehabilitation Institute, where I provided personal training, fitness assessments, and exercise programming to cancer survivors.

My first professional experience was at the YMCA in Littleton. I was asked to lead the "Stations of Balance" class and soon it doubled in size. Additionally, I led a "Women on Weights" class, and started a "Speed and Agility" camp for kids. Later I was trained and led the "LiveSTRONG at the Y" cancer exercise program. Members involved said I am very compassionate and a great listener. Besides leading classes, I also trained clients on an individual basis. In 2017, I was awarded the "Rookie of the Year" award for my outstanding accomplishments during my first 2 years of YMCA service.

During my time at the YMCA, people came to me with various chronic injuries, movement dysfunctions, and postural deviations that I was not equipped to manage. Wanting to help people better, I began researching other modalities and discovered the many healing benefits of massage therapy. I attended The Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado in 2018. This 15-month long training included a vast array of massage modalities such as: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Hot Stone, CranioSacral, Reflexology, Thai Massage, Sports Massage, and other healing treatments. I received my license from the state and am constantly looking to enhance my knowledge through workshops and classes on healing, bodywork, and exercise.

Since graduating, I have started integrating exercise and massage therapy with clients and am continuing to further my education of the body. I am currently certified in Massage Therapy, Strength and Conditioning, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation (IASTM), CranioSacral, Corrective Exercise, and Performance Enhancement. The services I offer at Evergreen Spine & Sports Medicine include: Massage Therapy, Exercise Rehab, Stretching/ Mobility training, and Foam Roller instruction. Outside of work you can find me walking/ playing with my dog, hiking, biking, rock climbing, strength training, skiing, snowboarding, playing guitar, golfing, frisbee golfing, fishing, camping, watching sports, or anything else outdoorsy that Colorado has to offer! I am always looking to help people at various fitness levels, improve quality of life, decrease pain, increase performance, and help you reach your goals through exercise and massage!
