Lucy's mission is to help you uncover the reasons behind your health challenges, teach you how to return to (or achieve for the first time) normal body function, and watch you achieve great energy, positive mood, light body, and clear thinking.
Lucy discovered her passion for nutrition and healthy living through her personal experiences with food, exercise, and spiritual practice. While working on her own health challenges, she learned first-hand how lifestyle plays a role in her thoughts, looks, emotions, and overall quality of life. Today, as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), Lucy uses a foundational and scientific approach to nutrition that addresses the balance of a person's body. She is also a proponent of nourishing the mind, body and spirit with food and the eating experience. Real, whole foods are a must, as are properly prepared and good-tasting foods.
Lucy received her Bachelors Degree in Biology from College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN and her Nutritional Therapy Practitioner certification through the Nutritional Therapy Association in Seattle, WA. She has her Holistic Lifestyle Coach Level II certification through the CHEK Institute, and has received training in Amino Acid Therapy from Julia Ross, author of The Mood Cure and The Diet Cure.
Lucy has worked with Type 2 diabetics; cancer survivors; people with Hashimoto's thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis, and lupus; the elderly; new moms; athletes and physique champions; people struggling to lose or gain weight; and people simply wanting better health through diet and lifestyle. She has worked extensively with individuals in person and over the phone, done lectures, taught cooking classes, and led grocery store tours.
